Wegovy® (semaglutide) is FDA-approved for chronic weight management. Wegovy is a prescription medication. A licensed physician will determine if it is appropriate for you based on your medical history.
Common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, and abdominal pain. Serious side effects may include thyroid C-cell tumors (boxed warning), pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, and severe hypoglycemia. Do not use if you have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).
